small run today in preparation to Region TOMORROW!!!!! I can't believe the season's already over, time has ran away! hehe... literally. I'm contemplating between joining the swim team or working towards the Painter's half-marathon. I'll talk about that later. I have missed Pine View's girls team so much today, I feel like a ball baby. What Ruth talked about last year with no regrets pushed me through my best race ever, now I'm trying to do it for myself, and one of the things that I heard tonight from a motivation speaker at our team dinner has helped me, he said: "If you don't give a complete 100%, you are basically giving away that goal, you're cheating yourself out of reaching your goal." I don't want to give away my goal. Another speaker compared racing to love. He explained how as you mature you are able to love your crush more and more. In kindergarten puppy love only lasted about an hour, and it hurt for about 10 min. in high school it was a couple of months, and it hurt about a week, but when you've been married for a long time, and you really really love this person, it would hurt you so much if you broke up for some reason or another. Then he said, the more you love running, or the more you love your teammates, and want to succeed to help them, or the more you Love whatever it is that motivates you the more pain you are willing to endure to succeed. I realized that I truly do love to run. I really do, regardless of whether I have learned to love running or not I really love running now. Tomorrow I am going to push past all of the pain and run my fastest pr ever!!! I am so motivated right now it's awesome! I LOVE RUNNING! I am going to run my fastest ever ever ever!!!!!
No Regrets!
